Today was a wonderfully joyous and yet bittersweet day. Mayberry, the last of our Canton, Texas puppy mill survivors, found her forever home. Bittersweet because I spent so much time working with her, showing her it was ok, we could be trusted, she was loved. Joyous because she finally has the mommy she deserves. I will miss her terribly and yet, she's finally able to be what she should have always been. A beloved family member. Mayberry will always serve as a reminder to me of why we rescue. Congratulations to you both. I will miss you princess.
